The Children's Book Council of Australia sponsors Australian Children's Book Week each year in August to celebrate reading and Australian children's books and authors.
This year's theme is: "ONE WORLD, MANY STORIES"

Each year new Australian children's books are judged in 5 picture book, fiction and non-fiction categories.

Book Week at Marryatville
In the weeks leading up to Book Week all classes will be able to travel around the world visiting each continent and being exposed to literature - oral, written and digital that illuminates our inquiry question. A Book Week Passport will be provided for each class to track their journey.

Book Week will begin with a whole school performance on the Book Week theme by Splash Theatre Company.
